IABM Session – IP Showcases @ Broadcast IP Theatre

Date: 24 May 2017
Time: 12.30pm – 4.40pm
Venue: Level 6, Broadcast IP Theatre

The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) announced in September 2016 that its roadmap for the adoption of IP protocols for media applications has received the official endorsement of the IABM. This endorsement is indicative of the growing momentum for open, standards-based protocols that will enable the media and entertainment industry’s migration towards virtualization and using more and more commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)-based network infrastructure products for production and playout workflows.

Many manufacturers and solutions suppliers in the broadcast world are promoting the IP route and we are beginning to understand the long-term benefits IP infrastructures gives. Find out more on IP Showcases followed by demo at the Broadcast IP Inter-Op Lab.
