IP Interoperability Workshop – Conducted by IABM @
Broadcast IP Theatre
Date: 24 May 2017
Time: 12.30pm – 3.30pm
Venue: Level 6, Broadcast IP Theatre
The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) announced in September 2016 that its roadmap for the adoption of IP protocols for media applications has received the official endorsement of the IABM. This endorsement is indicative of the growing momentum for open, standards-based protocols that will enable the media and entertainment industry’s migration towards virtualization and using more and more commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)-based network infrastructure products for production and playout workflows.
Many manufacturers and solutions suppliers in the broadcast world are promoting the IP route and we are beginning to understand the long-term benefits IP infrastructures gives. At BroadcastAsia2017, IABM will be conducting a two hour IP Interoperability workshop at the Broadcast IP Theatre, followed by demo at the Boradcast IP Inter-Op Lab.
Key highlights will include:
- Debate on IP standards – establishing a clear direction
- Open standards to foster IP-based interoperability
- Review on technical requirements and change of workflows
Join us at the IABM workshop and assess the readiness and interoperability of the technology for yourself.
Complimentary to all visitors.
